Sophie Taeuber-Arp (19 January 1889 - 13 January 1943) was a Swiss artist, painter, sculptor, and dancer.
She is considered one of the most important artists of geometric abstraction of
the 20th century.

Taeuber-Arpwas born
on the 19th January, 1889, and became a world-renowned artist, sculptor and
dancer.
She was known as one
of the foremost artists of geometric abstraction - which forms the style of
today's doodle.
Born in Davos,
Switzerland, Taeuber-Arp studied in Munich, Hamburg and Zurich and met her
husband, Dada artist Jean Arp at an art exhibition.
Together they moved to
France and collaborated on many different projects.
Sophie Taeuber-Arp
died in 1943 and is currently featured on the Swiss 50-franc bank note.
